My Approach

People often seek counselling during psychological or emotional distress. Life's challenges—anxiety, past trauma, relationship struggles, or simply feeling stuck—can sometimes make it hard to see beyond the problem.

My approach to counselling starts with building a genuine connection based on trust and deep listening. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity and respect.

Together, we create a safe space to explore the difficulties you're facing. A key part of our work involves gently separating you from the problem. This means looking at issues like anxiety, low mood, or past hurts as things influencing your life, rather than defining who you are. Creating this space allows us to see patterns more clearly and understand how these problems operate.

We'll also uncover (the sparkling discoveries), your inherent strengths, values, and hopes – the parts that problems often try to overshadow. This collaborative process helps build deeper self-understanding and illuminates the path towards the life you truly want to live.

Our focus is on empowering you to move forward. We will identify various tools, practical steps and healing actions, that draw on your inner resources, helping you to create the preferred changes you want in life. Counselling can be used as a tool to help support you on an on-going basis.

If you are ready to untangle yourself from problems, gain new perspective, and actively shape your future, I invite you to reach out. I offer supportive counselling for adolescents and adults navigating life's complexities.

Contact me for a consultation—I’d be honoured to support you on this journey towards greater clarity, peace and well-being.
